Are We Happy?

and yeah, those words are not all what Edda said about this subject, i cut some lines off but tried to cut the least affecting ones.. or I'd be writing for like an hour non-stop.. :)
the above quote actually touches on the core of Buddhist belief, that the cause of all the worlds problems is desire, and without desire, there is no suffering (caused by wanting something you can't have right then: sex, money, that neighbor with the hacking cough to finally hack up a lung).
[this is good]
Wow! Food for thought.....Coelho certainly has a way of getting you to reach deep inside and question all that you are and all that you want to be. Maybe we should all just learn to "be" instead of questioning and analyzing our feelings. maybe then we can find that we're happy with who and what we are and at the same time find those joyful moments.
this is one of those subjects that can be debated and wrote about until the end of time, and still not come to a "happy" conclusion or solution.
it'll be interesting to see what other say.............................

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Sometimes an unimportant incident
is capable of turning everything beautiful
into a moment of anxiety.
We insist on seeing the mote in the eye
and forget about the mountains,
the fields and the olive groves. "

See u there and have a great day!

How do you define Happiness?

Isn't happiness just realizing that you are where you're supposed to be? Contentment, satisfaction, joy?

To be truly happy you must find yourself doing what you were created to do.

happiness is fleeting... sad but true... like a box of chocolates would make you happy, right? but once you've eaten them all, what then? now, joy is forever.. if you have something that brings you joy, it's a different story.. myself, for example; i love to sing and write songs and perform, and that can never be taken away from me.. i would never run out of songs.. i would never run out of reasons to sing... it brings me joy to share that to the world! as long as i am breathing, i will sing and perform to my heart's content! and it's my purpose and it's what i was created to do!! and i don't think my heart, my mind, or even my body can rest until i've done so.

happiness is fleeting.

JOY is forever.
